HOW MANY WEDDING PHOTOS WILL I GET ?

You receive select wedding images from your day. Images you don’t receive are unflattering in between moments that you wouldn’t print anyways. There is no set in stone number of photos that you will receive, the events that are happening on your day reflect the amount of photos you receive. Example - 1 hour ceremony versus a 20 minute ceremony will have more photos. In the end though it is quality over quantity for me as a photographer but according to my shooting trends and length of coverage you would approximately receive 400-700 images.

HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR WEDDING PHOTOS ?

You receive your wedding photos in an Online Wedding Gallery where you can download the high resolution edited files. You will also receive them on a USB Key if applicable to your wedding package.

DO WE NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER ?

A second photographer on your wedding day is always a great option and a second vantage point on important key moments. Depending on how your morning unfolds I sometimes can’t be in two places at once so the second photographer would be with one side of the wedding party in the morning and I would be with the other side. Then we would carry on with photographs together from ceremony, bridal portraits to cocktail hour. One important thing to note is that my second photographers also own their own photography business as well. This ensures you are getting quality images from morning to the end of your coverage needs.

DO YOU HAVE PAST CLIENTS WE CAN SPEAK TO ?

CAN WE TAKE PHOTOS IN ANY PLACE WE WANT ?

Technically yes, but a location permit may be needed depending where we shoot. If we are in a public park in Niagara almost always no permit is needed. If we are hoping to go into a Winery, we would most likely need a permit for that location. Permits on average cost at least $250 or higher. It is best for you to call the location you want to go to or check their website and ask all the details in advance. We can not show up the day of your wedding to a location and hope they will let us on their property with no permit purchased in advance.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ?

If it rains on your wedding day that is when an indoor location becomes key. It keeps us dry and we are still able to get some great photos for you. If it is very lightly raining clear umbrellas can also be a great piece for outdoor photos too!

HOW LONG UNTIL WE GET OUR PHOTOS ?

My usual turnaround time for your wedding photos is 1 month after your wedding. However, it also depends on how many weddings I have around your date too. If I have a busy schedule sometimes it can take maybe two months. I have heard that some photographers take 6 months for photos, thats insane! I would never do that!

CAN WE ORDER A WEDDING ALBUM ?

A wedding album is the best way to make sure your wedding memories are preserved in the way they deserve. Printing out 4x6 images and putting them into a traditional photo album does not have the some impact as a crafted wedding album we create together. ARE GUESTS ALLOWED TO TAKE PHOTOS ON THE WEDDING DAY ?

Of course they are! There may be certain points where I rather them not due eyes not looking at my camera but as long as they respect me when I am taking photographs it is no problem, everyone wants their own memories too!

DO WE REALLY NEED AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION ?

I sometimes have couples tell me their friend who just got a new fancy camera took photos of them and they are going to use those as their engagement session photos. However, does that friend know how to truly work with a couple to get different flattering poses and make them look as best as possible? Or did they just walk around and and tell you to smile and look at the camera? I highly recommend getting engagement session photos for the above reason and also because you get to practice with me for your wedding photos. It is a chance for you to work with me and get some professional photos that you would proudly hang on your walls.

CAN WE GIVE YOU A MUST HAVE SHOT LIST ?

If we do have select must have photos I always say lets put our own spin on it to ensure the images represent you. We want to make sure we are creating your own wedding memories versus poses or moments you have seen on Pinterest.

WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK YOU ?

Whenever you are happy with a vendor I say book them ASAP. If you do need a little bit of a time to think it over, no problem at all! The way I usually do the booking process is if you inquire with me for a date and then another couple inquires after you with the same date. You get first priorities but with a limited time to decide.
